TAYPAYER ADVOCATE SERVICE
If you have an ongoing problem with the IRS or if you are about to suffer
significant hardship as a result of IRS actions, help is available. The
Taxpayer Advocate (TAS) will represent your interests and concerns and
ensure that if your problem has not been resolved through normal channels,
it is promptly and fairly handled. TAS employees can help with such things
as lost refunds and incorrectly applied payments. In Washington State call

The IRS has a new area on its website designed to answer all of your
questions for this tax filing season. At 1040 Central, you'll find
information about lower tax rates, larger child tax credits and the
elimination of the "marriage penalty." There are new income limits for
Earned Income Tax Credit recipients. Investors will find new rates on
capital gains and dividends and a revised Schedule D. You should also
should review the Advance Child Tax Credit information to avoid an error
on their
